I find much amusement when people try to argue with me about my age. Many people are in disbelief when they discover that I am twenty-one and then most try to disprove the fact with comments such as, “No, you’re not really twenty-one.” or “You can’t be that old!” I always try to reassure them that in fact I am the age that I claim, even though they may disagree by my appearance. This common mistake used to frustrate me to no end, but now its an endless source of enjoyment, more so on my part. When finally convinced that I am telling the truth, the conversation always comes to a close with them mentioning that I’ll “appreciate looking younger than my age when I am older.” That almost sounds confusing as I typed it out.
In other unrelated news, I have three suitcases spread out across my room wondering when they’ll be unpacked and then shortly repacked again. I am anticipating the return of school. Autumn has always been my favorite season. Arkansas has the most beautiful trees as well during the fall, namely the Gingko tree. I also always enjoy buying school supplies. It must be the teacher in me.
